MAPS Preschool serves students in 4 elementary buildings, as well as the Family Learning Center and Early Childhood Center. The program has a four-star rating from Parent Aware, which indicates that Mankato Area Public Schools is committed to providing high quality education and staff support. Mankato Area Adult Basic Education (ABE) is part of a state-wide system that serves approximately 65,000 adults annually. ABE students are working towards a high school credential, learning English, improving basic skills such as literacy and math, and/or preparing for post-secondary education or employment. The Mankato Spirit of Youth Award, sponsored by the Community Education and Recreation Advisory Council recognizes individuals and organizations who promote healthy youth development in our community.
