FAMILY ACADEMY

Family Academy workshops give families tips and tools to help their children succeed in school. Mankato Area Public Schools believe families play an important and necessary role in their child's education. Family Academy workshops engage families in a variety of ways to build on the partnership between schools, families and the community.

4:45-5:30 pm: Meal provided and registration

5:30-6:30 pm sessions:

  • Purposeful Play (Birth-8 years)

  • Transitioning to Middle School (5-6th grade)

  • Summer Work Opportunities (10-12th grade)

6:40-7:40 pm sessions:

  • Worried About Screen Time? (K-12th grade)

  • Having a Chemical Free Student - Drugs, Alcohol and Vaping (6-12th grade)

  • Transitioning to High School with an IEP (8th grade)
