High School Completion

Credit Recovery - K-12 Diploma
Mankato Area Public Schools provides eligible adult learners and current high school seniors the option to complete their High School Diploma or make up credits through an independent study program. This credit-completion model can be time intensive and is best suited for students with 1-3 credits remaining or current high school seniors who are in need of credit recovery.

GED-General Education Development
This GED preparation program allows adult students to practice and enhance their skills in order to pass the official GED exam, which includes 4 tests: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Science, Math and Social Studies.

MN State Diploma
In the 2014 Minnesota legislative session, a third option for adults needing a secondary credential was approved:  a state standard adult high school diploma.  This is different from a credit-based K-12 diploma; this new state adult high school diploma is competency-based.
