Community Education and Recreation offers various fitness classes taught by experienced instructors. Classes are held at Lincoln Community Center, as well as other local businesses in the Mankato area.

Cardio Body Training

Cardio Body Training
Instructor: Nicole Crosby
A fun filled class that incorporates HIIT, circuit training and tabata to give your body a dynamic all-over workout. Challenge your body in a whole new way. Make sure to bring a water bottle and yoga mat to class.

Exercise is Medicine for Low Back Pain

Instructor: Theresa Sedivy
This exercise class is taught by an experienced ACSM EIM-certified instructor. In this class you will use body weight exercises to improve core strength, endurance, and flexibility which will ease low back pain.

Full Body Fitness

Instructor: Tia Dupont
Looking to start your day off right? Come in for the morning class to get a full body workout before the work day begins! With a mixture of body weight and resistance exercises no class will be the same. Each class can be modified and set to your own pace. Individuals of all fitness levels welcome!

Combine the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of Yoga. Define yourself! Make sure to bring a water bottle and yoga mat to class.

Tai Chi for Seniors

Easy to learn and enjoyable to do. Tai Chi is a combination of standing, flowing exercises that have a beneficial impact on the health of your heart, bones, nerves, muscles, immune system, and the mind.

Weekend Warrior

Enjoy a gentle yoga class especially for pregnancy. Class includes stretching, strengthening, breathing, and relaxation techniques. Yoga is safe and effective way to care for your body and lower your stress during pregnancy. Each class is tailored to your individual needs. No prior yoga experience needed.

Family Yoga

Get out, get moving, have fun and relax as a family this winter with Yoga! Try this new Family Yoga class at Lincoln Community Center on the second Saturday of each month. Class will include simple yoga postures and yoga activities designed to engage both kids and parents. Class is most appropriate for kids 5 - 11. Parents attend free with their child or children.
