Adults with Disabilities ACCESS
The ACCESS program promotes growth and life enrichment for people with disabilities through cooperative community efforts, while allowing individuals to participate as fully and independently as possible in all Community Education and Recreation programs, activities and events.
ACCESS aims to give individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in social, educational, recreational and healthy activities throughout the community.
The Mankato Area Adaptive Ski Program strives to promote personal growth and life enrichment through teaching individuals with physical disabilities how to ski.
MAASP is a local group of skiers, volunteers and donors who work together to offer adults and youth with physical disabilities the opportunity to learn to ski. We have an awesome time outdoors on the slopes, while we develop friendships with volunteers and fellow-skiers.
Mankato Community Education and Recreation - ACCESS is thrilled to offer alpine ski lessons for adults and youth with physical and mild cognitive disabilities. We are entering our 18th season and are excited to get back out on Mount Kato for another great season! We have a wide range of adaptive equipment to guarantee everyone a chance to participate. Our experienced volunteers can assist all skiers to be safe and successful while having a ton of fun.
