Saturday Morning Sports

Saturday Morning Youth Sports sessions last for a full hour, starting with practice time followed by game time. Make your one-time-a-week trip worth your while! If you like, you can even run a couple of errands while your child plays under the guidance of trained, qualified staff.

Rules & basic fundamentals are covered at the beginning of each session. No experience or equipment necessary; we will provide it all! There are no uniform costs as we provide colored jerseys each week if needed. Basic fundamentals are taught along with an emphasis on low-key competition, allowing children to participate equally and to have fun while being physically active. Everyone plays!

In each sport, teams will be formed according to grades and school, exceptions may arise due to registration numbers. All sports are held on Saturday mornings.

Schedules will be mailed out once registration has closed.

$28 PER SPORT 
Discounts can only be given if child is registered for 2 or 3 sports in a single registration. Same child registered for 2 sports qualifies for a $5 discount. Same child registered for 3 sports qualifies for a $10 discount. Please call the CER office to register and receive the multiple sports discount.

Pre K Sports

Our Pre-K Youth Sports program is designed to introduce Pre-K students to the world of organized sports and will help them develop the fundamental skills of a specific sport!This program is for students who are in Pre-K, ages 4 & 5 who have not yet gone to Kindergarten. Pre-K Youth Sports will follow the same format as Saturday Morning Youth Sports in which fun and good sportsmanship are stressed! Stay active all year round and make new friends with Pre-K Youth Sports!


Each sport lasts for 5 weeks (T-Ball is a 4 week program). In each sport, teams will be formed according to grades and school, exceptions may arise due to registration numbers. All sports are held on Saturday mornings. 

Schedules will be mailed once registration deadline is complete.

Archery

Archery is a great way for boys and girls to get involved in something new! Our program utilizes the NASP curriculum and equipment and will teach the basics of using a compound bow. Classes are taught by a certified NASP instructor and will provide a safe and fun introduction to the sport of archery! Commands, signals, techniques and shooting challenges are all part of the program. Come learn about equipment and participate in a low-pressure and supportive environment. All equipment is provided.

We provide beginner and intermediate classes for grades 4-6. Participants MUST successfully complete our CER beginner archery before registering for intermediate.

Archery for Teens
Teens (grades 7-12) now have the opportunity to become involved in archery and explore the world of target shooting! Participation within an archery program has been shown to increase student concentration, positive behavior, motivation and focus!

**Teen and Intermediate Archery is often combined and is held at the Intermediate time. A time change will be communicated to families at least 1 week prior to the session start date.**

Winter Tennis

Winter Quickstart Tennis
Exciting new way for players to be introduced to the game of tennis through ineractive games with modified court and equipment. Lessons will be held at Hoover Elementary School. Players should wear tennis shoes and bring water and their own tennis racquet. We will have racquets if you are unable to provide your own racquet.

Winter Tennis
Group games and interactive play will be the core of this program along with development of fundamental strokes. Lessons will be held at Hoover Elementary School. Players should wear tennis shoes and bring water and their own tennis racquet. We will have racquets if you are unable to provide your own racquet.

Learn to Ski or Snowboard

Learn to Ski
Winter is here, and the perfect opportunity to consider the sport of skiing! The Learn to Ski program is for beginners or those who have never tried this activity before. The knowledgeable staff at Mount Kato are ready to teach children aged 6-12 the skills necessary to participate in this activity safely for maximum enjoyment. Cost is $85 per student and includes three 2-hour lessons, 2-hour lift ticket for use during each lesson period, and rental equipment. All classes are held at Mount Kato Ski Area. Students wishing to continue their time on the slope can extend their 2-hour lift ticket time for only $12 per child. Family Learn to Ski or Snowboard

Cost is $75 per student and includes three 2-hour lessons, lift ticket for use during each lesson period and till close on the night of your lesson, and rental equipment. Winter Sport Camps

Scarlet Softball Camp
This camp is for any softball player regardless of ability. Basic technique will be offered along with a variety of drills for the accomplished player. The clinic staff will consist of Mankato West coaching staff along with current Scarlet softball players. The emphasis will be throwing, hitting, fielding, and pitching. Weight training and conditioning specific to softball will be introduced. The spring seas is just around the corner. We are excited to get softball season underway. This is an opportunity to get a jump on the upcoming season and to simply have some fun! 

Every player will receive a camp t-shirt along with quality instruction! All campers will need tennis shoes, glove and bat (if it is smaller than a high school bat).
